ATTIRE 63 PROFILE Contact Black & Sigi +44 (0)7882 403 494 When was the website launched and how does it support the business? The website went live in March 2015, and it’s something we aim to invest heavily in. It’s a great support as it’s the go-to platform for people to view products, read our stories and follow the blog. It’s the company’s CV and shop window, therefore it’s something we try to always keep up with. We’re now setting up a trade account log-in to the website, to make it easier for buyers and retailers to make an order. What have been the key milestones in the business? A major milestone for us was when our products were spotted when we were out for dinner. The recognition for this, for us meant that all our hard work to get the brand known was working. We jumped for joy that day. Going to our first trade show was also a landmark moment – a very exciting and daunting experience! How do you view the current market and what trends, both in product and in business, do you see emerging over the coming months? After seeing a couple of seasons of delicate jewellery layering, we think we’re set to see lots of statement earrings and bangles, as seen on all the autumn/winter catwalk shows during fashion month. As mentioned previously, buying habits are turning towards more homegrown brands, with the added personal touch of handmade. People like to know the story, and we have one to share, so we’re hoping that this will be a good season for us! Online shopping is something that is evolving rapidly, and something you can’t avoid, one must embrace the change. Despite this however, keeping the independent alive is something that we are passionate about, and will always support. Therefore, we work closely with our suppliers to ensure that we’re helping in their journey to keep the community spirit going. What are your plans for the business over the coming years? Wedding accessories is a collection we’re working on at this very moment. We’ve provided so many brides with alternative jewellery for their big day, so this is something that we’re very excited about developing. A
