80 Distinctive designs INDX Accessories 2018 places a focus on new product ranges alongside key industry players to provide a host of buying opportunities under one roof Returning with an exciting exhibitor lineup featuring emerging brands, industry leaders and UK trade show exclusives, October’s INDX Accessories show promises engaging content specifically curated for all independent retailers, from boutiques to department stores. Amanda Partridge, show organiser, says, “Our buyers expect an enticing and inspirational mix of exhibitors each season, so it’s extremely important for us to keep sourcing fresh brands and new product ranges as well as attract key industry names. At the April show, we welcomed Cath Kidston, Desigual and American Tourister and supported the exclusive launch of Lakeland Leather. For the October show, we have already signed more than 60 brands, including Thule Luggage, Fiorelli, Jennifer Lopez, Kipling, Gianni Conti, Healthy Back Bag, Cachet London, Gionni, Pia Rossini, Reisenthel, Bessie, Mala Leather Envy Bags and David Jones.” Falling just before the Christmas trading period, the October show provides a well-timed opportunity for buyers to place top-up orders and buy into new ranges to immediately update their shop floor in addition to viewing a wealth of new collection launches for SS19. Amanda continues, “Spending patterns have definitely changed over the last 18 months, with buyers now looking to place more orders in season, and we have evolved our exhibitor list to meet this demand. INDX is still a very important forward-order showcase, but the majority of our exhibitors are now offering immediate and short-order ranges as well.” The quality and selection of brands on show is just one of the reasons why INDX Accessories is regarded as a key indie buying event, and buyers also cite the professional, relaxed and informal buying environment as a major factor in choosing to visit this trade show. Amanda, who has also been an accessory buyer for the past 15 years, goes on to explain, “INDX Accessories is unique in that we offer a totally buyer- and business-focused approach to trade shows. We have deliberately created a friendly and intimate atmosphere that is more conducive to making buying and ranging decisions, and we also provide free parking, free refreshments and complimentary lunch to guarantee our visitors have a stress-free experience.” The show’s support for buyers doesn’t stop there. There is an opportunity for buyers and suppliers to network while enjoying complimentary drinks and canapés on the second day of the show, Wednesday 3 October, at 5.30pm. In addition, INDX organisers regularly follow up with buyers after the event, updating them on brands’ in-store success stories to enable them to make more informed future buying decisions.
