The first female Dr Who, Jodie Whittaker, wore Scream Pretty on This Morning recently – incidentally, I had my first job there many years ago. That was a big moment for us! She has also selected more lines to take to the U.S. on the Dr Who promotional tour, so we are hoping to see her in more Scream Pretty! How do you view the current market, and what trends – both in business and product – do you see emerging over the coming months? We’ll be developing the huggies range and our chain offerings to reflect a bohemian vibe inspired by some antique motifs – we’re very excited but can’t reveal more than that right now! The trend in business for more social influencers to affect a business’ success or failure means that we want to engage with influencers who have Scream Pretty style. We plan to use more influencers to create style edits on our website to help customers understand how to wear, stack and love their jewellery. Do you have any thoughts on how Brexit will affect your business? We have already seen costs rise. As the dollar has strengthened, it has made the purchasing of our manufactured jewellery more expensive and, as yet, we don’t have an export business to offset this cost with more sales abroad. As we keep pricing reasonable, I think this gives us the edge with UK trade customers, who find us affordable in uncertain times. We would love to expand our sales worldwide, but with uncertainty, we will focus on the UK growth until we know more. What are your future plans for the business? As we really enjoy Scream Pretty, we plan to do more of the same: create designs we love and share them with customers both retail and trade. We plan to make the trade site even easier to use and to expand our collections to hit some new upcoming trends. Is there anything else you’d like to add? Without the support and feedback of some loyal trade customers, I don’t think we would have been as successful in such a short space of time.
