ONES TO WATCH 59 MATTHEW CALVIN matthewcalvin.com @m.calvin Matthew Calvin is one of London’s most exciting young jewellery designers. Highlighted by the Evening Standard as a go-to name for modern, minimalist designs, Matthew is obsessed with style and precision. Matthew began designing jewellery in 2012, taking classes around Europe to learn different techniques and sculpting in precious metals to produce pieces that perfectly balanced simplicity and elegance. Matthew’s most recent Botanical collection encourages the introduction of high- polish, statement pieces while maintaining his signature minimalist style. A huge fan of mixing metals and finishes, Matthew has introduced a range of interchangeable charm hoops, designed to be mixed and matched with different metals and stacked with Matthew’s signature stud designs. With more exciting ranges scheduled for launch in 2018 and 2019, the Matthew Calvin brand is going from strength to strength. It’s available in John Lewis, as well as multiple independent boutiques and gift shops worldwide. ALICE ACREMAN aliceacremansilks.com @alice_acreman_silks Alice Acreman creates hand- painted silk scarves for her business, Alice Acreman Silks. Inspired by the infinite complexities of nature, Alice Acreman Silks is a luxury art brand creating beautiful, illustrated pieces to be worn and to adorn your home. Made from high- quality fabrics and crafted with careful consideration for the planet. Each print is handmade by Alice, using a mixture of watercolor painting, sketching and collage before being digitally printed. Vivid palettes complement the romantic and exotic artwork. Unexpected combinations of weird creatures, bold tropical florals and contrasting delicate blooms create an individual style. Intertwining undersea creatures with wild flowers and intriguing insects, the designs are full of character. Inspired by the traditions of textile design, each item is printed in small quantities and made to be loved for years to come. Attire Accessories spoke to Alice about her plans. She said: “For 2019, I’m working on a Kimono design as part of the new Enticement Collection, which will be available in both a smaller and a larger size. I’m also excited to create some pieces with a more masculine feel.” SIXTON LONDON sixton.london sixtonlondon Sixton London is a too-cool-for-school accessories brand that is making waves in the industry. Speaking earlier this year to Attire Accessories , Jess said: “We are constantly working on new product lines for the next and current seasons. We tend to work on new product development in the evenings when it’s quiet and calm and you have the chance to think creatively and make samples.” CASERY thecasery.com @thecasery Casery is a fashion trending company that is expanding into the UK.
