Readers, I hope you’re

soaking up as much of

the summer sun as you

can now, because once

you’re immersed in the

autumn shows, it could

be a distant memory!

Attire Accessories

, we

understand all too well that back-to-school

feeling that the beginning of September

brings, so to help you readjust to buying

mode, we’ve put together this special

show edition with a number of big-name

headliners: Autumn Fair, IJL, Top Drawer

Autumn, INDX and London Fashion

Week are the ultimate must-visit events

this season and we have all the details

needed to convince you to get on the road.

IJL 2017 adds a touch of sparkle on page

29, putting a much-needed spotlight on

new names and established jewellers.This

year’s event will be particularly memorable

as yours truly will be on the judging panel

for its new awards, and because it will be

Show Director, Sam Willoughby’s final

time heading up the jewellery extravaganza.

She has truly made a mark on the

exhibition in her eight years at its helm,

and we wish her the best of luck in all her

future ventures.

Gift favourite, Autumn Fair (page 49) is

set to be bigger and better than ever before,

with new international fashion sector

additions and the return of the BTAA

Awards – check out all the details for

these on page 18. Meanwhile, Top Drawer

is gearing up to showcase the greatest

mix of new-to-the-UK labels across its

fashion, home, gift, craft, greetings and

food sectors – from page 71 onwards, we

cover the hottest fashion exhibitors on our

checklist, as well as our favourite ones to

watch from the show’s Spotted showcase.

INDX Accessories will bring the indie

community together in a wonderful buying

environment, which you can read more

about on page 91. London Fashion Week is

set to serve up another stellar line-up in its

second season at The Store Studios – find

out more on page 101.

This issue, we’ve also been fortunate

enough to speak to Wortmann Group’s

UK Sales Manager David Coles to learn

more about this iconic innovator in fashion

footwear in the build-up to the company’s

anniversary celebrations.

As well as our show previews, regular

features, and interviews, we take a look

at autumn/winter 2017’s best boots, wet

weather accessories and hats, gloves and

scarves – what better time is there to stock

up on items that will combat the chill?

This issue’s competition prize of packaging

worth £500 RRP is courtesy of fashion

jewellery and scarves label, Accessories by

Park Lane.

Editor’s pick

I’m not a fan of rain showers, but I could

be persuaded into a romantic walk in the

drizzle with this cute heart-shaped brolly

from umbrella specialist, Soake. I only hope

it’s big enough for two!
