The core product offering is still the same as when we started: great-quality hair ties that are also beautiful and fashionable accessories that look good both in your hair and on your wrist. We do believe that the product keeps getting better and better, though.The level of sophistication of the charms is also improving since we keep raising our standards with our manufacturers. Finally, we always try to step it up in terms of offering newness and a highly relevant assortment of styles. Our current collections includes, for example, metallic bands. Metallic fabrics and accessories have been on all the catwalks this season, and our bangle bands are a nod to the trend. How often do you launch new lines and what are your best-selling designs? Tell me about your recent campaigns. We launch new products about six times a year. Current season collections are always in demand and sell like hot cakes. Recent collections include, for example, velvet bands and of course our current metallic hair ties. Our loyal customers keep coming back, not just because they love our product but also because they are looking for the newness that we offer. Alongside our news, we offer a core assortment of products that we always try to keep in stock – these are best sellers all year around, irrespective of season. Classic designs on black, navy and grey bands and of course any shade of pink tend to be top sellers among these key products. What trade shows do you attend, and which ones work best for you? Being a relatively young brand, trade shows have really helped us introduce ourselves, and it is a great way to stay in touch with existing customers. In the UK, Top Drawer and Pulse at London Olympia have worked well for us. In July, we will go to Home & Gift at Harrogate, and we are very much looking forward to meeting some new potential customers there. When was the website launched and how does it support the business? We only launched our website in 2017, and this is a growing area of the business and also a great tool for retailers to browse our collections. We will soon be launching our trade website for our trade customers in the UK, Europe and U.S. What have been the key milestones in the business? Having been very much a kitchen-table business, two mums working like crazy doing everything from packing orders and visiting factories to selling into shops and designing web pages, we are now so happy and proud to have a small team that helps us.That also bring lots of new energy and wonderful ideas to the table. We are currently also entering the U.S. market, which has been a long-term goal of ours. How do you view the current market, and what trends – in both product and business – do you see emerging over the current months? Hair accessories have recently very much been featured on the catwalks across the world. Having previously been pretty much ignored every day essential accessories for women across the globe, hair accessories are now gaining the attention they deserve. We look forward to being part of this ongoing development. What are your future plans for the business? We will keep doing what we do now but just better and in more markets.There is a lot of hair out there that needs taming. A
