The idea behind the locket came to Christin while visiting the British Museum. Christin had been thinking about designing a love amulet for some time when she saw an exquisitely carved boxwood prayer nut. On the train home, she started to play around with the idiom “in a nutshell”, and the idea of placing a golden heart inside a nut came to her.
