INDUSTRY NEWS 15 WOMEN’S JEWELLERY NETWORK RESTRUCTURES The Women’s Jewellery Network has announced an organisational restructure for 2019 following a successful run of online and offline events last year. The group is aiming to create a more cohesive organisation configuration and dedicated online platform in order to add value to both its membership and the wider jewellery industry. As part of the restructure, founders Victoria McKay and Kathryn Bishop will take the roles of chief executive officer and research and insights director, respectively, while Nyasha Pitt, previously Midlands ambassador, will also join the board as communications director. Other ambassadorial positions will remain the same in the short term, with more changes planned over the course of the year. Victoria said, “This is an exciting time to be a woman in business and we want to ensure that the Women’s Jewellery Network is well placed to support our membership in 2019 and beyond. “Our focus for 2019 is to create a true membership platform and organisational structure that provides our members with both ideological and tangible support and benefits. The restructure is recognition that we needed an active and accountable board to deliver effective support. Our aim has always been to create a true affiliation organisation that provides relevant support for our membership, from wellbeing to career development. And that’s exactly what we’ll be doing throughout 2019.” To find out more about the Women’s Jewellery Network, visit womensjewellerynetwork.com CARRIE ELSPETH CELEBRATES 20 YEARS IN BUSINESS Carrie Elspeth is this April celebrating 20 years of supplying beautifully handmade jewellery to retailers all over the UK and Ireland.
