The collection, Prue by Ronit Furst, has been designed in collaboration with Prue to embody classic eyewear design with playful colour-pop accents. Launched earlier this year, the collection will initially consist of 12 designs in six colour ways and patterns per style. There are 72 eyewear pieces in bold colours such as blue, red, green and purple, which are colour-blocked alongside patterns, including tortoiseshell on a range of classic and modern frames. ▲ KIRK & KIRK +44 (0)1273 963 129 , kirkandkirk.com British designers Jason and Karen Kirk are the designers behind eyewear brand Kirk & Kirk and have an impressive 100-year legacy to live up to. The Kirk family celebrates 100 years in optics this year, which began with the Kirk brothers (Jason’s grandfather and great uncle), who were innovators and pioneers in British optics. To celebrate the anniversary, Kirk & Kirk has launched Centena, the first collection to be handmade in France from 10mm acrylic. There are 10 shapes in 10 colours and all are named after Kirk family members. Designer Karen Kirk says, “Using 10mm acrylic allows us to sculpt this beautiful material and create pieces that look like cut glass.” The lightness of the material allows for a substantial frame that weighs next to nothing on the face, while the Italian materials allow Kirk & Kirk to source its own distinctive colours and gives the frame a jewel- like quality. Centena retails at £325. ▲ PALA EYEWEAR hello@palasunglasses.com, palasunglasses.com Pala Eyewear offers a wide range of premium designer sunglasses and has an ethical CSR stance. The company has a mission statement that reads, “PALA is on a mission – a mission to put an end to poverty, to protect the planet and to enable all people to enjoy peace and prosperity. It’s easy to say but much harder to put into practice. We’ve started by putting this mission at the heart of everything we do. From the products we make, the materials we use, the business practices we employ and the partners we select to work with, we’re working hard to walk the talk. ”
