MODA 51 The home of independent We look at what’s to come at Moda 2019 With new event director Adam Gough at the helm (turn the page for our exclusive interview with Adam), Moda 2019 looks set to be the most hotly anticipated event in the show’s history. Welcoming buyers from independent boutiques, department stores and online, the show throws the spotlight on exhibitors such as Gino Cerruti, Superga, Fly London, Rieker, Bugatti, Suzie Blue, Kelly Craig Collections, Gabys, Tilley & Grace, Suzanne Bettley, Max & Ellie, Tempest Designs, Whiteley Fischer Hats and Zelly. In order to successfully represent the changing marketplace, Moda has launched commercially driven new product trails such as Curve and Ethical, which will sit between the three core sectors: Accessories, Footwear and Moda Woman. Moda Curve will offer an area for brands to celebrate femininity with their plus-size collections, while Moda Ethical is about brands paving the way in sustainable fashion. Adam Gough says, “Moda has been bringing fashion to life in the heart of the UK for over 30 years. Many of our visitors are loyal to the show and have been attending since the show opened. Following extensive customer and market research, we feel the introduction of these comprehensive new trails will re- energise the show, create newness and attract a new audience.” The This is Me campaign, which was launched at the February show, continues for the AW19 event, designed to champion inclusivity and positivity. More than 400 exhibitors from the UK and across the globe will be exhibiting, with a plethora of in-depth industry panels, on-trend catwalks and expert knowledge from fashion trailblazers also on offer.
