The summer trend of the headband will continue into next year, but designs will be more striking and incorporate different elements.” Jessica Rea ▲ ELIZABETH DICKENS – the veils +44 (0)1353 723 675 elizabethdickensveils.co.uk @elizabethdickensuk “At present, we are seeing a call for long, single-tier soft tulle (Italian tulle) veils with appliqué detailing around the edge or as a scatter, and they are getting longer. Bling is still in demand, with heavy scatters all over the veil being a strong favourite. “In terms of our bestsellers, the Vogue design is leading the way, which is a single-tier, half-combed waterfall style with appliqué and delicate beading around the edge. This is closely followed by Swan, a veil with a delicately spaced crystal edge. Meanwhile, Swan-Lake has a scatter in the same small stone. Brooklyn is a new release, with delicate sequinned appliqué, and Emerson has trailing floral appliqué, giving a light look complementing boho-style dresses. New veils are currently being developed featuring small decorative combs, one each side to be worn at the back of the head with a drape effect between them. Watch out for these at the next shows. As development is our core business, we are always watching trends. And as British manufacturers we can respond very quickly.” ▲ CHLOE HAYWOOD LONDON – the drama +44 (0)7956 188 585 chloehaywoodlondon.com @chloe_haywood_london “People are becoming way bolder with their headwear, so I would not be surprised if metallics were big for the upcoming season. Luxe designs are en vogue so another trend is veiling, which I think is still really huge, and I hope that we see some turbans too – they can look very chic. There is an enormous trend for Made in Britain and buying responsibly too – I’ve seen that through my business, which is incredibly encouraging.” Chloe Haywood MAX & ELLIE maxandellie.com HEATHER HATS & ACCESSORIES heather-fashions.com
