Trade shows are a great opportunity for us to raise brand awareness and meet new and existing customers. In 2019, we will be showcasing our collections at INDX Accessories, Torquay Gift Fair, Spring Fair, Autumn Fair as well as Scotland’s Trade Fair. When was the website launched, and how does it support the business? We launched our first website in 2007. Back then, it was a straightforward brochure site – showcasing the range and available colours. At that stage, there was just a downloadable order form for customers to fill in and send back to us. We refreshed the website in 2010 and added functionality, including online ordering capability, real-time stock availability, trade show information and sales agent details. Our website is secure and easy to use and is accessible by trade only. We have had great feedback from customers on how easy it is to navigate our website and have been told they like to be able to look at the latest collections at their leisure from home or at work. Of course, some customers prefer to see samples in person, and our dedicated sales agents are always happy to travel to see customers. Communication is key, and we keep in regular contact with our customers by posting them the latest brochures. We also send regular emails to keep them up to date with offers, promotions and trade shows. What have been the key milestones in the business? We have seen many changes over the years. Key milestones include: • Agreeing the sole UK distribution rights of French handbag brand David Jones. • Moving to a larger warehouse space in 2004, meaning we can hold more stock and fulfil orders quicker. • The introduction of online ordering via our website, making products more accessible. • Winning AIS Supplier of the Year award for three consecutive years until the award was retired. How do you view the current market, and what trends – in both product and business – do you see emerging over the coming months? We believe strongly in being a valued partner to our customers, and as such, we do not sell directly to consumers. In these uncertain times, we will continue to do all we can to support the Great British and Irish high streets. What are your future plans for the business? We will continue to supply quality products at great prices with exceptional customer service and will stay abreast of the latest trends to ensure our collections are a success for our customers.
