Harrogate Fashion Week roaring success

Harrogate Fashion Week roaring success: Image 1 Harrogate Fashion Week has experienced a second successful show, with the early date said to appeal to retailers.

Taking place at the Harrogate Convention Centre from 27th-28th January, 2019, the event was well received by buyers and retailers alike, despite the current uncertainty with Brexit.

Norfolk buyer Julie Garner, who owns three shops in the county, said, "If you see a brand you'd like to stock, it makes sense to buy it here, because if I wait for a later show, another retailer in my area may have taken it, and then's too late."

There was also an encouraging amount of small footwear brands at the show, with co-organiser Stephen Dixon stating, "I spoke to one of the footwear exhibitors, who was happy with the business she'd done, and when I asked if she would like to see more footwear exhibitors, said that her main objective was to sell to casual wear shops, because she felt this was where she could achieve growth."

Discussing plans future plans, exhibition director Sarah Moody is excited about the prospect of growing the event. She said, "We're aiming to build a show which works for everyone. It has to be cost-effective, so exhibitors will support it, and it has to feel welcoming to the buyers. That's why, for example, we have free parking for buyers in the nearby multi-storey car park, because we don't believe that buyers should feel they're being charged for everything at every possible opportunity. And of course the show itself is free to all buyers."

The next event will take place from 27th-28th July, 2019. Visit for more information.
