Jewellery & Watch closed its doors on a strong show for 2018, with visitors from across the globe seeking the latest collections of loose gems, diamonds, watches, bespoke jewellery, silver, semiprecious and wholesale fashion jewellery from more than 270 exhibitors. A spectacular array of new collections was on display from 4th - 8th February from brands including Unique & Co, Alex Monroe, Gecko, Beach Art Glass, Clogau, Dogfever and Fiorelli, together with new international brands including Astra from New Zealand, Carini Gioielli from Italy, Chordia Gems from India and Mioro from Turkey, who debuted for the first time. The quality of exhibitors was a high point for a number of visitors including Julie of Jewels Angel, who said, “I haven't seen such a good selection for many years. There are more products to choose from than in previous years.”
Jewellery & Watch 2018 attracted some of the nation's most loved high street names and prestigious jewellery boutiques, with the likes of J M (Goldsmiths), Fenwick Limited, Banks Lyon Jewellers, Jessop Jewellers Ltd, The British Museum Co., Beaverbrooks, Marmalade Fine Jewellery, John Lewis and ChloBo Jewellery in attendance. Enhancing the visitor experience, The Atelier provided an all-immersive trend showcase experience of what's new, what's hot right now, what exciting trends are ahead for AW18/19 and SS19, and crucially, how visitors can make it work for their business. Elsewhere at the show, the very first jewelleryfocused Meet the Experts, hosted by the National Association of Jewellers, provided visitors with the opportunity to discuss their specific business challenges and strategies in a one-to-one setting with five jewellery industry experts across the course of the show. Commenting of the success of the show, Ruth Johnson, Head of Sales at Gecko said, “Our numbers are up significantly on last year and we have gained several new clients. Our 'Beginnings' brand has proven to be a huge success, visitors have loved that they can add a personal touch for their clients. And Fred Bennett, our entry level menswear brand, has also been well received”. Speaking of her experience of the show Vijyeta P, Secretary to CEO of IESA enthused, “Jewellery & Watch is a great place to come and research brands and trends, I have been coming for years and normally look forward to the catwalk shows, however The Atelier was a welcomed surprise and very informative”.
