INDUSTRY NEWS 13 FASHION4CHANGE DOCUMENTARY CATWALK TO CREATION DEBUTS AT UNITED NATIONS Fashion4Change’s docuseries Catwalk to Creation has been aired for the first time at the United Nations (UN) to an audience of Global Members of State and fashion industry leaders. The series, directed by award-winning duo Charney Magri and Ramzi Moutran, is said to perfectly align “with the UN’s Sustainable Development Agenda and focuses on the reverse journey of sustainable garments – from the finished piece on the catwalk to its original design.” Footage includes that of fashion production factories in Austria and India that only use recycled, natural and next-gen solution materials. The films also feature interviews with high-profile industry insiders, including British Fashion Council CEO Caroline Rush CBE and founder of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation Dame Ellen MacArthur. Catwalk to Creation co-director Ramzi Moutran, who owns a boutique agency and production house, says, “Presenting our documentary to some of the most influential people in the world is such a privilege and will bring much-needed action. These films, along with the UN’s Sustainability Development Goals, are key to raising global awareness on an issue that often lacks clarity in a convoluted industry.” Visit fashion4change.org JOSEPH RIBKOFF EXPANDS INTO ACCESSORIES MARKET International womenswear brand Joseph Ribkoff has announced the launch of two new line extensions for SS19 and will offer denim and accessories for the first time in its 61-year history.
