SPRING FAIR 2020 SHOW THEME LAUNCHED Spring Fair used the Autumn Fair edition to launch its 2020 Hello New! theme. Reflecting the constant evolution facing the retail industry, ‘Hello New!’ showcases all the freshness and innovation that will be on offer to visitors at Spring Fair 2020, which will run from 2 nd -6 th February, at Birmingham’s NEC. Julie Driscoll, UK regional director at Spring & Autumn Fair said, “Consumer needs and wants are evolving, and the retail industry is evolving with them. At Spring Fair, we want to quench the thirst for newness that inspires the sector and ensures its continued success. ‘Hello New!’, our show theme for 2020, brings the innovation at the heart of Spring Fair to life.” Just one of the significant changes planned for Spring Fair 2020, backed by a major investment programme from the show organisers, is a transformational reshuffle of the show floor to form two distinct sourcing destinations – Gifts and Home & Living. This follows a successful re-edit of Autumn Fair 2019, which created a renewed look-and-feel for the must-attend marketplace for product discovery. Dan Unsworth, director at Makasi Imports Ltd, commented, “Our experience and new position at Autumn Fair has worked really well for us so far, with good footfall. We’ve met with our existing customers and picked up plenty of new ones. We’re already looking forward to Spring Fair 2020!” Julie added, “We’re delighted with how successful the re-edit of Autumn Fair has been, and we can’t wait to implement the refreshed feel for Spring Fair 2020. However, the re-edit isn’t the only exciting change for next year’s show. We’re keen to keep some of the bold initiatives and features we will have under wraps for now – but we’ll be announcing these as we get closer and closer to February. What’s guaranteed is that Spring Fair will be one immersive shopping experience for all the industry’s home and gift needs.” Find out more at the website springfair.com BRAND FOCUSED FOOTWEAR TRADE SHOW SOLE FOCUS LAUNCHES IN COVENTRY New brand-focused footwear trade show Sole Focus is set to open its doors for the first time in The Ricoh Arena, Coventry from 16 th -17 th February, 2020. Organiser of the new Sole Fashion exhibition Penny Robinson said, “I am delighted to be working with the UK’s footwear industry to deliver an exciting new trade event focusing on branded footwear. There is still a strong desire for the industry to showcase their collections each season, however participating brands demand to see a realistic return on investment. “The cost-effective and clear pricing of stands makes Sole Fashion more accessible, attracting new and lapsed UK trade show exhibitors resulting in an unmissable industry event. It will be strongly focused on delivering the key retailers from the UK and Irish market and creating a fresh and exciting platform for people to do business. The reaction so far from some very notable footwear industry figures has been extremely positive.” Visit solefashion.co.uk
