The Jewellery Cut selected five UK-based jewellers to join them on the trip: Julien Riad Sahyoun, Metier by Tomfoolery, Mocielli, myriamSOS and Rufier. In Copenhagen, the brands took part in The Jewellery Room, a boutique jewellery trade show founded in 2013 by Danish sisters Charlotte and Pernille Møbjerg. The one-day Copenhagen jewellery trade show, which is officially affiliated with Copenhagen Fashion Week, was open to press, retail buyers and VIPs. It took place at auction house Bruun Rasmussen in the centre of the city. As well as an exhibition of jewellers – which includes Scandinavian jewellery brands Vibe Harsløf, Georg Jensen, Julie Nielsdotter, Pandora, Ole Lyngaard and Sif Jakobs, among others – The Jewellery Room hosted a high-profile CFW talk on sustainability. Speaking before the event, The Jewellery Room co-founder Charlotte Møbjerg Ansel-Henry said: “We’re excited to be working with The Jewellery Cut on bringing UK-based talent to the Scandinavian market and we’re proud to have five new UK brands, curated by The Jewellery Cut, with us for the first time this season. We’ve always believed that strong minds think alike. We’ve been following The Jewelllery Cut and the great work they’re doing in the UK and believe that it would make sense to include one another in our mutual efforts. We’re convinced that the Scandinavian as well as the UK brands can surely benefit from one another and we’re happy to offer the brands an opportunity to approach a new market in a way we know works, as it has already been tested for several seasons.” NOVA SILVER ACHIEVES SUCCESS AT TOP DRAWER Jewellery brand Nova Silver has reported success at Top Drawer, January, 2020. The first time exhibiting at the show, the company launched new lines to market. Simon Millership, director, says, “It was our first time exhibiting at Top Drawer, and we were proud to be included in such a busy, vibrant show. All credit to Clarion events, who made the show so enjoyable and successful. It was the perfect opportunity to launch our newest ranges and they had a great reception.” Nova Silver launched new silver ranges, with its signature style of playfulness and attractiveness. Top sellers were the Hot Air Balloon collection and the delicate Bluebell collection. The new lines sit alongside Nova Silver’s ever popular Kitten collection, which has a focus on natural forms as well as a quirky sense of humour, and Simply Silver, a fast-growing collection of design-led and affordable jewellery. Holly Woodham, manager at Nova Silver, said, “We opened twice as many new accounts as we had anticipated, which is fantastic. I think our regular customers know how easy it is to order online with us, and so the beauty of a trade show is that you get to introduce yourselves to people that would have otherwise struggled to find you.” Millership continued, “We’ve invested heavily in our website and find that our customers are really happy to order at their leisure online, so we had looked at the trade show as an opportunity to launch the newest pieces and perhaps meet a few new potential stockists. We’ve been astounded at the great response we’ve had, and also the enquiries we’ve received after the show.” Visit norasilver.co.uk
