Another year over and what a 12 months! While consumers get their head around soaring costs and an uncertain future, the accessories industry has remained steadfast in its offering in order to give shoppers a spot of light relief in what has otherwise been a turbulent financial year. The lipstick effect certainly applies to the fashion world, and small pick-me-up, feel-good items such as fashion accessories still factor highly on a consumer’s spend list. To this end, this issue we are focusing on putting your best foot forward, literally.
Check out our round-up of some of the best footwear on the market. Likewise, wallets and purses never go out of fashion and are great, smaller in-store pick-up products to stock. British casting specialist and fine jewellery manufacturer Hockley Mint announced plans to overhaul its plain wedding rings collection by offering recycled precious metals as standard from November 2022. This 100% recycled precious metal, which includes various alloys of gold, silver and platinum, is sourced from within the UK and represents another step in the business' sustainable sourcing strategy. This will be offered alongside the company's long-standing Fairtrade Gold option for wedding rings and fine jewellery. Now, retail jewellers who obtain plain wedding bands from Hockley Mint can be assured that their purchases use recycled metals and can pass this information along to their customers on the High Street.

| IHGF Delhi Fair Spring 2023 set to be bigger than ever |

IHGF Delhi Fair, organized by the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH), India, is slated to be bigger in its Spring 2023 edition to be held from 15th to 19th March 2023. Resuming its earlier form and stature with each successive show, this fair will be a full capacity show. The response and revival can be attributed to exemplary growth in exhibitor participation as well as buyer attendance in the past three editions.
