Raymond Weil watch maker celebrates its continued support of music charity Nordoff Robbins by presenting the International Artist Award to The Script at the O2 Silver Clef Luncheon, a star-studded event held in support of the charity which took place on 6th July at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
The three-piece Irish rock band took time out of their busy summer festival schedule to attend the event to collect the Raymond Weil International Award from Craig Leach, Raymond Weil's UK Brand Director. After their debut album reached number 1 in UK and Ireland in 2008, The Script went on to write another four chart topping albums and receive many accolades including three Meteor Ireland Music Awards, two World Music Awards and two Brit Award nominations.
Craig Leach comments, 'It is with great honor to present Raymond Weil's International Artist Award to The Script at this year's Nordoff Robbins O2 Silver Clef Luncheon. Raymond Weil is thrilled to continue to support the largest independent music therapy charity in the UK as well as sponsor the renowned International Artist Award at the annual awards for the last 18 years. The highly coveted award has been received my many iconic artists including John Legend, Foo Fighters, Bob Geldof, Kylie Minogue, Hozier and Nile Rodgers and we can't think of more worthy winners for the 2018 honor. Since 1976, Nordoff Robbins has been committed to changing the lives of vulnerable and isolated people and we are extremely proud to have witnessed the charity's dedication first hand.'
The annual Nordoff Robbins O2 Silver Clef Awards Luncheon is now the jewel in the charity's fundraising crown and a highlight of the UK music industry's calendar. Now in its 43rd year, the event has raised over £10 million for Nordoff Robbins and honored some of the greatest names in music.
