Pure London has announced its exclusive content programme for the show's return to the iconic Olympia London this July. A trade collective of global fashion designers, brands, buyers, creative minds and inspiring trends, the next edition of Pure London will host a series of exclusive trend sessions from Malaïka Ewande, Founder and Creative Director of creative consulting bureau, Vesuvius, panel discussions, seminars from industry leaders and the highly anticipated SS24 catwalk shows.

London's Just Around The Corner's charity partner

Just Around the Corner, taking place in London between 16th - 18th July, is proud to be once again be supporting and promoting the Fashion & Textile Children's Trust, a charity which provides grants to parents and carers working in the British fashion and textile industry, who are facing financial hardship. The Trust gives grants for children's essential items including, children's clothing, children's bedroom furniture, essential appliances, e.g. washing machines, fridges and oven. They also fund specialist equipment such as sensory toys, mobility equipment and therapies for children with additional health or learning needs.

Increasing applications create tipping point in £8 billion UK gift card sector

When adults in the UK receive a gift card it is now more likely not to be a gift, with alternative uses for the versatile product outstripping gifting for the first time according to research from the Gift Card and Voucher Association (GCVA).

The study of 2,000 UK adults, commissioned for the association's 'What's in a Name' whitepaper (supported by KPMG and sponsored by Tillo), found that 54.1% of UK adults (equivalent to 28.8 million people) received at least one gift card in the last year.

Just under a quarter of the population (24.84%) received at least one as a gift from family or friends.

However, 29.26% received gift cards solely for non-gifting reasons.

New summer collection from The Basket Room

The Basket Room has collaborated with British Designer, Hannah Harrison for a second season on a capsule collection of handwoven basket bags for SS23. The collection named Watermelon Escape pays homage to the groovy 1960s with floral embroidery, psychedelic colours, tie-dye, and checks. Co-founder Holly McMullen who worked with Hannah on the original concept said, "I had an idea of a woven bum bag and wanted to create a design that was stylish but would also appeal to festival goers. Hannah took my original ideas and created what can only be described as a joyful explosion of colour and pattern."

Poetic Brands signs a multi-year pan-European contract

Poetic Brands, a specialist in licensed apparel, has announced that it has signed a multi-year pan-European contract to design, manufacture and supply men's and women's apparel, accessories and beachwear for possibly the most recognised club on the planet: Pacha.
