New direction for Autumn Fair

New direction for Autumn Fair: Image 1 Autumn Fair will be launching with a new direction this September, with new and returning exhibitors set to offer a host of sourcing and deal-making opportunities across retail.

More than 22,000 visitors and 1,300 exhibitors are expected to attend the show, which takes place at the NEC from 1st-4th September 2019. The fair will occupy a new venue within the NEC, moving to the Atrium as part of a re-edited offer that's designed to facilitate connections between suppliers and retailers. There will be 11 show sectors, allowing visitors to explore the products that will drive sales through Christmas and into 2020. All gifting categories will be grouped into one sector, while home and interiors have been brought together to create a sourcing and exhibiting destination for UK and international buyers.

There will also be a new sourcing zone to enable manufacturers from key regions around the world to exhibit new products and showcase techniques to new and relevant markets. In hall 10, visitors will be able to meet international manufacturers from Portugal, Indonesia, China and India, who will showcase products to buyers from gift, home, toy, fashion, kitchen and dining stores.

“The new sourcing hall will bring the best of the world to our door, ensuring that buyers who ordinarily wouldn't have the resource to commit to costly trips abroad to visit potential suppliers can make connections here at Autumn Fair. Not only that, but we'll be pushing to attract more international retailers to buy from the UK-based suppliers that are the foundation of our show. We've gone to great lengths to ensure that we share the latest trend intelligence for international vendors to ensure that they're bringing the most relevant products for the UK market.”

The Gift sector will focus on trend-led products including wellbeing items, scented candles and diffusers. The Greetings area will showcase a collection of both giftable and greetings items, including stationery and novelty products. In Living and Accents & Décor, visitor will be able to view hand-crafted fairly traded goods, while Summerhouse will feature well-loved brands from the UK, Scandinavia and other global design hotspots. The Beauty & Wellbeing area will see a focus on organic products and ethical sourcing.

Following an encouraging response at Spring Fair, the Power of One campaign will also continue. Encouraging the retail industry to take action against plastic waste and unsustainable practices, the campaign has been developed to champion the UN's sustainable development goal for more responsible product and consumption by driving small yet powerful steps.
