ITE Group has announced a major programme of investment for its flagship event, Spring Fair. Promising a bold new direction, the initiative will be the first major change for the show in eight years. The announcement comes ahead of this year's fair, which takes place from 3rd-7th February at NEC Birmingham.
From next year, the exhibition will have a new look and feel, intended to reinvigorate the way buyers source products and connect with exhibitors. The changes will include a re-organisation of the show floor into two distinct sourcing destinations, Gifts in the Piazza and Home & Living in the Atrium. In Hall 1, the show's fashion segment will also host the high-end sub-sector Jewellery & Watch, while Hall 2 will feature Greetings & Gift, the largest gathering of its type in the UK. Hall 3 will play host to Beauty and Wellbeing, while the Atrium will house Home & Living, including a brand-new Sourcing area.
In Hall 20, The Summerhouse will be located between Living and Accents & Décor, while visitors to Hall 8 can view Cook & Dine. Formerly known as Volume, Everyday will move to Halls 9 and 10.
“This is a transformational moment for Spring Fair, and we are so excited to unveil the 2020 re-edit,” says Julie Driscoll, managing director for Spring & Autumn Fair. “Following our acquisition by ITE Group plc, we've invested heavily in both events, and this is just one indication of how that investment will deliver for both exhibitors and visitors. The re-edit will make it much easier for buyers to source complementary products and in turn, generate more new customers for exhibitors. The introduction of new product categories and sector names will create fresh inspiration for everyone.”
Technological innovations like the recently launched Product Match app will remain, offering a way for buyers to maximise opportunities for inspiration.
Spring and Autumn Fair recently joined ITE Group plc as part of its acquisition of Ascential Events. The reorganisation forms part of an investment programme that is set to breathe new life into its well-established brands. For details, go to www.springfair.com
